We are asking the hundreds of thousands of people who rely on our hospitals – from the people who need life saving care in our intensive care units to those who rely on our outpatient services – to get involved in the programme and let us know your feedback.
People who sign up to the programme will receive a monthly newsletter dedicated to the Patient First programme, will be notified of special listening events and will earn the title of #esthchampion.
"The #esthchampion scheme is a simple way for us to recognise and thank the thousands of people who support our hospitals, and to keep in touch with the people who are interested in the work we are doing. If you are on the social media site, Twitter, simply use the hashtag #esthchampion to keep up with the latest news," said a spokesperson.
"As a Trust, we serve a population of more than 420,000 people and it's vital that our patients and local people can have their say and can help to shape the services we provide.
"We hope that each person joining the Patient First programme will give us honest and frank feedback about the things that we do, and in return, we promise to share the results in our regular newsletters and to let them know how their feedback is being used to change or improve the services we provide. They will also be able to become involved in some of our upcoming improvement projects, such as a significant programme to improve the way people can navigate our hospitals.
Joining the campaign couldn’t be simpler, just fill in the online form at www.epsom-sthelier.nhs.uk/patientfirst, or join the conversation on Twitter using the hashtag #esthchampion. "
