Medway 18 – 25 Sutton & Epsom
Oh what a dav it was in Rochester! Sutton arrived at Medway knowing that if they could match the points gained by Guildford at Sidcup, they would be crowned champions. In the event, the game at Crescent Farm proved to be irrelevant, for Sutton defeated Medway by 25-18 to win the London One title by a landslide and achieved their long-held ambition of securing a place in the National Leagues. Sutton’s promotion is a wonderful feat, as a record of 21 victories and a draw in 24 games amply proves. And it was greeted with emotional delight by the players and coaching staff, as well as by the large and vocal contingent of supporters who had come to Priestfields hoping to savour a very special day. Plans are already well underway for this year's Sutton and Epsom Rugby club's Summer camp.

A win probably as easy as any that Sutton have achieved this season saw them move five points clear of third placed Maidstone and keep the pressure on leaders Ebbsfleet. or a while during the first half, with Ebbsfleet and Maidstone both trailing, U's were top of the table as they moved smoothly in to a two goal lead inside the first half hour, and although Ebbsfleet turned their game round to re-establish a three point lead, U's will replace them on goal difference with a victory in Monday's game against Bishop's Stortford. There are less than two weeks left for Sutton United's Season Ticket Priority Application.
In a statment on the club's website it says: "HURRY! Season tickets for 2016/17 are selling like hot cakes and it's little wonder.
