For the past few weeks, a specially converted multimedia studio bus has been parked up at Brunswick Road in Sutton, offering young people the chance to take part in sessions to mix music tracks and have a go at fashion design by making their own t-shirts.
The single-decker bus has been converted into a multi-media studio designed to inspire and empower people building confidence through music production, rap & vocal recording. It’s kitted out with multiple music work stations and plasma screens.
One of those taking part told us: “I love music. These sessions are really cool. I like being able to put my own tracks together.”
The project has been a great hit, with everyone saying they had fun, made new friends and left with something they had made.
Supporting and helping with the initiative was Emma Pearson, Community Development Officer at SHP, who said: “This has been a great chance to engage directly with young people and it’s a wonderful way for them to express themselves through creativity.”
