"The roles can fit in around you and the time you would be able to offer. We’d love to hear from you if you are interested in helping the branch, so get in touch to find out what opportunities are available! " said a spokesperson.
"Our volunteers are essential to us – so any help you’re able to offer would be appreciated. Whatever you’d like to do, get in contact with us and we’ll try to match you with the right role for you!
"Volunteers don’t have to be RSPCA members, so if you know someone who might be interested in volunteering for us, please ask them to contact us.
"Short term fostering can be anything from an overnight stay to six months. The animals must be kept indoors, so this is ideal if you live in a flat or can't commit to having a pet for it's lifetime. Food, litter and veterinary treatment is covered by the branch. If you decide that you would like to be considered for fostering, we will need to visit you at home to discuss our requirements.
"We need people to carry out home-checks to ensure that potential adopters or fosterers meet our requirements. If you are interested in carrying out these checks, we will need to train you first. You do not need to have access to a car and will need to complete a small amount of paperwork for the branches records after your home visit.
"We need someone to approach local shops to get collection boxes placed on shop counters for donations. We also need volunteers to collect them back in once they’re full.
"Drafting press releases We need someone to report all of our activities to the local press! We need to write press releases on all the animals rescued who need new homes and keep people updated on any recent events our Inspectors have been involved in. Perhaps you have a media background and have skills that would be helpful, or maybe you’re a student looking to get media experience? Whatever your background, get in touch!
"We have so many more volunteering roles, so if any of these roles sound like they’re for you or you would like to volunteer with us, get in touch now! "
