Fourteen Sainsbury’s Managers from branches around the area, representatives from Sustainable Merton, local residents, staff and students from Orchard Hill College are pitching up to help turn the field at the front of the BedZED Centre into a multi-purpose community venue.
Jobs on the day will range from flattening the mini sports field to planting trees and shrubs in the sensory gardens.
There is even going to be a chicken run!
“We hope the afternoon will be great fun as well as an opportunity for local residents, charities and companies to get to know one another,” said Ben Walsh, Head of Learning Centre (Orchard Hill College)
