Projects from all over London need the vote of Sutton's supporters to try and secure valuable funds from the Skills and Opportunities Fund.
"It’s not every day that you get to be the bearer of good news, so today we’re extremely excited to share that a very important date is almost upon us! Relax, you still have 56 sleeps until Christmas; the date in question is the opening of the public vote in the latest round of Skills & Opportunities funding," said a spokesperson.
"This time round, an incredible 790 not-for-profit organisations, charities, schools and colleges across the UK and Republic of Ireland have applied for funding towards an inspiring range of projects aimed at helping people learn new skills, find work or start up in business.
"We’ve now narrowed these down to a shortlist of 91, across our seven regions – each of them profiled on our Skills & Opportunities website.
From 12 noon on Friday 30th October to 12 noon on Friday 6th November, we’ll be asking the public to vote for their favourite in each region.
"The results of the public vote will count as one vote alongside those of each region’s judging panel, deciding which good causes are ultimately successful in receiving funding in December."
