The Energy Company Obligations scheme supports households on lower incomes and in receipt of certain benefits by providing funding for improving insulation and repairing gas boilers, thereby reducing heating bills.
Councillor Nick Emmerson, Vice Chair of the Housing, Economy and Business Committee at Sutton Council, said:
“We want everyone in Sutton to have a warm, healthy home in which to live. Residents can use the Energy Saving Trust’s online tools and find out whether they are eligible for assistance this winter.”
Insulation makes it easier to heat your home and keep it warm. It can also help reduce condensation, which can lead to mould growth. Better-insulated homes use less energy, and using less energy reduces carbon emissions and helps Sutton in achieving its One Planet Sutton goals.
Residents can find out whether they qualify for help by contacting the Energy Savings Trust on 0300 123 1234 or by visiting their website ENERGY
