Police carried out a drugs warrant at an address in Grove Lane, Carshalton, on Wednesday, 23 December.
At around 08:00hrs, officers forced entry to the property and carried out a search of the rooms, loft space and garden. A quantity of suspected cannabis, drugs paraphernalia like scales, a quantity of cash and luxury trainers were seized.
The Safer Neighbourhoods officers were supported by Met police dog units.
A man, aged 30, and a woman, aged 26, who were both inside the property at the time, were arrested. The man was arrested for cultivation, possession with intent to supply and money laundering. The woman was arrested for cultivation. They are being questioned at a South London Police station. Enquiries are continuing.
The officers were responding to information received from the local community.
Safer Neighbourhoods Insp Ian Hicks, who led the door entry team, said: "We take all reports about criminal and anti-social behaviour seriously and we hope operations like this one sends out a message that drugs will not be tolerated in Sutton borough."
