Cariad – (pronounced ka-ree-ad) is Welsh for love and if you’re planning a romantic break away, look no further than the Welsh Capital. We might not be Paris or Rome but Cardiff has some utterly dreamy gems, making us a top visitor destination for starry-eyed couples. In fact, there’s so much lurve there that they not only celebrate St Valentine’s Day, we also have our own version.
On January 25th the natives also acknowledge St Dwynwen, the Welsh patron saint of lovers. If that’s not enough of a reason to whisk your better-half off for a passionately perfect city break in Cardiff, here are a few more… Perhaps you’ll be inspired to pop the question whilst you visit the city?!
